Launch

There is two way to launch a terminal on Linux:

  • In the start menu, search for Terminal and click on it

  • Press Ctrl + Alt + T simultaneously

Check admin rights

Greenspector Studio relies on tools for which user must have administrator rights. To practice on the terminal, we will use it to check this information.

Copy and paste or type the following command in the terminal:

groups

It shows the groups to which the user belongs. It the group sudo appears, the current user is admin of the computer and can continue this installation guide.
